My original plan was to launch BBUIs when I’d completed everything: i.e. created all the slides, developed all the example files and completed all of the homework assets. I’ve changed the plan, however…

Instead of launching BBUIs in ~August, 100% finished for $1,495; I’m going to launch it drip-feed style, course by course at a much, much lower price.

I’ve been testing all of my course materials (BBUIs and other courses) on the wonderful members of The School of Design and I thought, I should do the same with BBUIs. The members are a small, but passionate group and I trust their feedback.

So, I’ll be kicking off with Course 1: Principles of Interface Design on Tuesday, 4 May, 19.00 GMT. It will run every Tuesday evening for eight weeks, covering the following:

• Building a Vocabulary · 4 May

• Point, Line, Plane (Form) · 11, 18, 25 May

• Content · 1 June

• Typography · 8 June

• Iconography · 15 June

• Color · 22 June

Each week there will be a talk (live, so you can ask Qs) followed by discussion. After the talk, I’ll provide all the slides, additional example files and homework. Everything is light touch and designed to fit around work commitments. I’ll also be recording each of the weeks, so if you miss a session, have no fear, watch the recording and join the discussion in the school's Slack.

After we finish Course 1, I’ll announce dates for Course 2: Interfaces Are Like LEGO, which will be followed by Course 3: Design Systems.

Bottom line: If you sign up for a membership now, you’ll get Courses 1–3 for £95. That is as low as I’ll ever sell it and £95 is an absolute bargain compared to other UI courses, which all start ~$1,000.
